OK i have no idea what the answer to this is... but "cabin" is somehow a hint...?

You are walking through a forest in the State of Washington. You see smoke coming from a cabin and decide to investigate. You look through one of the windows and see a row of people sitting in chairs, all dead. How did these people die?

They got in a plane crash. The part where people sit in the plane is called the cabin.

hmm, I see the logic in the other answers but what kind of a plane lands in a forrest and has ANYTHING left let alone a bunch of people sitting in a row dead.  I mean they would literally be obliterated by one of several things not just the crash or the massive explosion generated from the jet fuel.

Logic dictates that they were not in a plane.

I'm gonna gues carbon monoxide poisoning because they closed all the windows and the doors and the fire burned up all of the oxygen.

hey at least my answer is POSSIBLE.  That has to have some merit.
