Question:

OK i have the quick clip tool ive been wrestling like an s****.and i cant get the darn fuel filter out WTF????

1999 ford ranger yes its the right tool and the write filter i called a friend and he said i was doin it right just needed to put a little more nut into it well maybee i dont have enough.......fuel filter is off the exit flow but still conected on the entry flow and it clicked the way it was supose to when i pushed the clip in but there is no way it is comin out

  1. It's pretty easy, simply slip the tool inside the the line and remove the filter. If the 'prongs' are bent on the line, then it wont come off. Use a pic and bend the tabs back where they should be and try again.


  2. pull harder just give it a good pull... man up.. really they are a pain who ever come up with that design should be kick in the filters  

  3. Push the tool into the fitting then push the line towards the filter making sure you continue to keep the tool pushed as far into the line as you can pull the line off of the filter...also it wont hurt to spay some penetrating lube into the fitting before you put the tool in...this will help make everything slide easier and help flush out any debris that may be behind the clips keeping them from releasing...Good Luck
