OK i installed sp3 fo xp anbout 2 months ago and wen i restared my comp my comp kept on restarting???

my computer would restart and restart over and over again so i installed xp pro again what happened there i upgraded my ram too???

if i install it again will the same process happen??

DOES XP SP3 SPEED UP UR COMP IF U INSTALL IT???

hi never heard of that with XP SP3, it can only be related to software running on your computer thats not happy with a component of the upgrade, run msconfig to see whats loading on startup, going to be hit and miss a bit though, but you can always use the system restore function from the recovery console if this happens again,

i think this problem was limited to users that downgraded from Vista to XP Pro. It's called a reboot loop. The system reboots and loads, then says your software has to reboot again. Your RAM shouldn't have anything to do with it since it's a software conflict. It's probably best if you just reboot it from a disk again or reinstall XP Pro SP2 and then download the upgrade.
