I am trying to learn how to do a backhand spring but im still not very good at it. I have never cheerleaded before but i am hoping to be ready to try out for cheer leader by next may... think its possible? I am also trying to learn how to do the splits but im not quite there yet... what is easier side splits or front? Thanks for your help! easy ten points! :P THANKS!

  1. listen up. MISSBRIB is wrong!!!!!! cheerleading is one of the hardest sports there is and it DOES take a lot! everyone thinks its some stupid girly sport but its intense!!! you have to be FULLY COMMITED because it will eat up all of your time and energy. at my school you need a handspring to make jv and a tuck to make varsity. its no joke and the stunks require strenght and balance. you can go for it, but just be prepared to WORK YOUR BUTT OFF. you must be dedicated to this sport or else you will fail. trust me, i know, i cheer.

  2. since you have some experience you will be fine.. it does not take much to become a cheerleader all you need is the spirit/ energy.. dont worry honey you will do fine.. and in order to get the split thing down all you have to do is.. lay your legs against the wall while being on your back .. then stretch your legs out ..go to google for more details..do .. it maybe two times everyday .. and you will be splitting in no time.. dont worry honey you got this down pact .. good luck well you wont need it just stay confident and do your best ..

  3. Yo! I whated to be in cheerleading to be then i tryed tae kwon do ! its a type a martial arts . So you say that you have been stretching alot ? So you would be good at a high riseing kick ( You just kick you leg up ) . So i would say to cheak out a tae kown do place!

  4. It is absolutely possible to be ready by next May!! If your able to get into some sort of tumbling class that would really help with the back handspring. The best way to work on your splits is to sit in them for as long as you can, make sure you stretch out first. The side split are usually easier. Good Luck!!

  5. You are on the right track!  Keep up the stretching and conditioning and you will be more than ready by May.  Practice motions in the mirror.  For your splits, some people find middle splits easier than right or left and vice versa.  Don't give up on your back handspring, practice and repetition is the key...good luck!! =)
