I knew before that all pilots who g through pilot training go through some aerobatics in the t-6 or the other model. Now someone tole me that if you choose that you want to fly heavies not fighters you learn less aerobatics than you would if you wanted fighters. is that true?

aslo im planning to do afrotc. what classes should i take in high school. and whats a good degree that can upper my chances.

Subjects t i should now. I know math and science. but specific math and science like algebra or chemistry, etc

THanks!

  1. Hi, Best subjects to take for any pilot job would be physics, algebra 2 with trig, and chemistry.

Also, why not also consider the Navy aviation part of the military? They also train pilots and have a lot of Aviation ratingd (jobs). Plus, on Navy carriers, guess who flies off with Navy planes? The Air Force and Marines, the Navy is the one who gives them a ride and lets them fly with the NAVY.

If you want more information on the Navy Aviation side, head to http://www.mynavyonline.com Im KJC88 there, we can help a lot more and let you know how it works.

And you can still do AFROTC, it would help even if you did go Navy.

    Good luck Pilot!

  2. well in high school its always good to take physics its a hard subject but good to know for pilots. also take hard classes like calculus and try to get in AP gotta be smart to have a chance as a AF pilot.

  3. any degree doing with engineering, and as far as math i would recommend calculus and trig. The main thing to do to get a pilot slot is kick @$$ on the AFOQT, be in phenomenal shape,  and get good grades throughout your college career. A private pilots license would help too with around 40 flying hours logged, but private licenses are pretty expensive to acquire. I hope to be a pilot too, but i doubt my afoqt scores are competitive enough, but i wont lose hope. See you in the skies!
