  1. Try to stay off pointe for a while (if at all possible) and use a bright, summery color for your toenails to cover up the bruise cosmetically. As for helping it heal, its kind of a waiting game, but you can take an OTC pain killer and warm wet compresses kind of help. Treat yourself to a professional pedicure and it will definitely help!!

  2. Soak your feet in epsom salt , they will get harder and it will take more for them to get bruised next time. as of for right now, it will heal on it's own

  3. If you go to the doc within about 48 hours of getting it, he/she can drain it for you so the toenail doesn't turn black and fall off. Otherwise you can pretty much just ice it to help with the pain and wear band-aids. You should also try to avoid dancing en pointe for a bit, as that will definitely make it worse. You can paint it some crazy color to help with flip-flops!

  4. Paint your toe nails blue or something. random colors are in style now and it works mine are painted purple right now! :-)

  5. Treat it with an ice pack and drink lots of water. Sometimes if it doesn't hurt TOO much, you can massage it a bit. I find that helps a bit.

If you're anxious for it to go away really quickly:

Another thing I've heard around the dance department here that works wonders is Arnica gel. It helps with making the discoloration go away. I've never tried it but I've wanted to. My friends who have tried it have all said it works well.

  6. well idk if you know this but you are sapose to cut your toe nails for a reason, and that reason is becuase it will become bruised, for now your best bet is first to wash your foot, then cut, and file your nail(s), then put aloe on it frequently and it should heal in 12 weeks, sorry but dance is a major sport its not going to head in a couple days.

  7. cover it up with make-up

  8. You just gotta let it heal.

    Put a band-aid over it.

And you'll be lucky if your toenail doesnt fall off.

  9. I've had 3 bruised toenails, 2 of which fell off. There's really nothing you can do once it's bruised except put a bandaid on it and let it do what it's going to do. Next time, make sure your toenails are short enough to not get shoved back into the toe and get bruised but not too short, which hurts a lot.
