I think I just need some encouragement and a push in the right direction just to make sure I'm making the right decision...
So today was the first day of school and I'm taking a cooking class. My teacher was putting an unusual emphasis on eating EVERYTHING we cook. And she was like, if you don't like to cook and you don't like to eat, what are you doing in my class?? And since I'm in the class it goes without saying that I'm suppossed to eat whatever I cook...not throw it away. But the thing is, I had an eating disorder and it's hard for me to eat in front of people, so I want to tell her that I don't want to eat what I cook, because she was saying if anyone has any medical problems, if they're diabetic or allergic to certain types of foods, she wants to know ASAP, not when they're making the food and I don't want to get her mad at me. So I'm thinking right now to send an email to her explaining my situation and hope that she won't make me eat what I cook and we can like work something out. The thing is though that she asked for a written excuse signed by your parents...and my parents don't know that I used to have an eating disorder so I can't do that. Do you think I should email her about this?
And please answer my question and don't preach me on anything else. I don't have an eating disorder now so it's ok. Thank you guys.
