  1. Don't know about the greatest......BUT Ty Conklin comes to mind when you say turnaround...........

    2006-2007 =

    Blue Jackets - 11 games played - 2 wins - 3 loses - 2 OTL - 3.3 GA - .871 S%

    Sabres - 5 games - 1 win - 2 loses - 3.44 GA - .892 S%

    2007-2008 =

    Penguins - 33 games - 18 wins - 8 loses - 5 OTL - 2.51 GA - .923 S% (Second overall)

Not the greatest, but it was a helluva turnaround if you ask me.

  2. Sergei Samsonov. 26 pts, -4 in 06-07. 4 assists with he blackhawks in the first half of 07-08.

In the last 38 games in carolina, He put up 32 points. On pace for roughly 75 points.

    Same player for both answers...

  3. Dan Cleary wasn't even going to have a job in the NHL before the Wings signed him and now he's one of our best 2 way forwards and a 20 goal scorer.

  4. Mike Rupp looked pretty darn good this past year.

  5. For me i'm a huge habs fan so Kovalev's increase last year i believe fits both bills as one of the biggest in recent memory and by far the biggest for my team, 47 points the year before to 84 last year.

  6. Franzen Zherdev Kovalev Horton Hemsky Briere Richards ( Brad and Mike) and Streit

  7. There are too many too list.

Detroit - Johan Franzen. He exploded like a cannon towards the end of the year and well into the playoffs.

Columbus - Nikolai Zherdev. He actually scored points this year! And then we traded him away.

  8. chris osgood (goalie)- from a backup to a reliable starter

mike green (defense)-from 12 pts to 58 in one year.

brad boyes (forward)-43 goal.... 27 more than the previous season

  9. Most recently, the one that comes to mind is Briere.  Man, that kid impressed me in the 2007 season.  From a 58 points +3....to 95 points +17.

Vincent Lecavalier going from like 75 points to 108 was pretty impressive.

Also, since everybody LOVES being a homer....St. Louis went from 61 points to 102 in a season.
