OK to travel to Dominican Republic with Criminal Record?

Question

Is it okay to travel to the Dominican if you have a misdemeanor charge of 'Mischief to Property' in the last month? Will I be asked any questions at Customs?

I do not believe the Dominican Republic has the computer program to do criminal background checks like the U.S.,U.K., and Canada have.  Also, it is just a misdemeanor, not a felony...don't worry.
