OKAY, don't laugh or be mean or anything like that, it's about voice acting?

I've recently found that I am getting better and better and imitating some voices from animes that I watch and I want to broaden my range, so can some actual voice actors out there point out some guidelines that will help me train my voice or whatever it is I need to do? It's like a dream of mine, so please be nice.

Oh and I have no clue what to put this under for categories...? ehe

  1. I'm not a professional, but I have a tip anyway.

Imagine the character's thoughts and feelings in the script. This will improve the realism of your acting, thus, more people will want to hire you. Also, have fun with it!

  2. That's really cool! I wish I could do that. Well, just do what the guy above me said. Haha, it's the best I got.

  3. A lot of people say I can do voices from various TV shows and I have had a bit of information given to me from my Drama teacher so I will pass it down to you.

If you would like to be a voice actor, the first step is to audition. If you do not have any local auditions around your area that you have heard of, then that's still fine. What you need to do is to make a video or recording of yourself doing these voices and send it in to a company that produces popular TV shows/anime.

If you don't get out there, you don't get heard.

Oh, and if the question was asking how to improve your voices, then I apologise.

You simply need to put yourself in the character's shoes and then pretend like you are in that situation to get yourself in that real perspective. The more you practise and watch the anime more, the better your impersonations will be.

Record your voice and if it sounds nothing like them, tell yourself to make your voice go higher, lower or slow down your speech.

Good luck in the near future.

  4. Nobody likes dubs so please don't.

  5. Hmm, I support ya. (Not a voice actress)
