Question:

OKLAHOMA SOONERS FOOTBALL!!!

Bradford had a great season last year. However, not taking anything away from that, it was apparent that he struggled in high-pressure situations, particularly on the road. Now, with a season under his belt (and on film), just as with Colt McCoy a year ago, defenses will begin to pick apart his weaknesses and gameplan against them. But the bigger problem I see is at wide receiver. The Sooners always recruit well, but there seems to be a bit of a talent/experience void at WR this year. Who will draw coverages and stretch the defense? Who will be Bradford's go-to guy? The biggest thing they have going for them is their o-line - one of the best in the country. But overall it seems like this year's passing game could take a significant dive. Your Thoughts?

  1. hawaii all the way

  2. Boomer Sooner.

I don't like talking about the team.  They always prove to be overrated and I would rather them start out at 20 than at 4.  Let them earn there way to the top.

They have a long history now of being too d**n cocky and overlooking people.

I thought I would never say this, but if Stoops makes another BCS bowl and loses...even if it is at the dreaded Fiesta Bowl (Championship)....I think he will have to go.  I know, blasphemous, huh?

Well, until they realize that they are not tough just because they are the Sooners, we will not be seeing any more National titles in Norman anytime soon.

I also don't know why Brent Venerables is highly paid and highly praised...our defense has always been the root of our problems.  Throw deep balls on us all day and guess what, you probably win the game.

  3. Ask good old JR.

  4. okay i probably wont spell these names right but sams go to guy will probably be jaquin iglesias, manuel johnson, or quentin chaney,

jaquin iglesias who will be a senior next year has experience and talent and is most likely going to be drafted in the nfl last.  year he probably didnt get as much attention as he deserved because malcolm kelly was there also, manuel johnson did start but no one really paid him attention because of kelly and iglesias but he also has talent other wise he wouldn't be going to school at OU, quentin chaney was not a starter last season but also has talent he had to replace malcolm kelly in the fiesta bowl and he made some real good plays he is one of those guys who would definately be a starter somewhere else but was not last season because of malcolm kelly,

but also you have to remember his go-to-guy does not have to be a WR it could also be a TE like jermain gresham he is a outstanding TE and i think he likely has a future in the NFL

i hope this answer helped you can check out espn.com and look under college football or soonersports.com or soonerscoop.com

p.s OU plays there first game Aug.30 but you have to get it on PPV

  5. Play action, thats your key, that o line is one of the best if not the best in america. Sam will have time to throw, and i know stoops isnt dumb with qb's. he has made alot of them look better than what they where. the defence, never a problem with you guys. look to be in the hunt and probably win the big XII south

  6. Go Huskers!

  7. yeah have a chance to win the bcs champinship if they get there passing game working right it is a big part of that offense.

  8. i agree however there's always a wr that takes you off guard, i think by the end of the season they will have found their go to guy.

  9. I agree with a lot of the things that Jenifer said. If Murray stays healthy he will have big year. Jarboe could have made an impact but he is history. Igelisias, Cheney and Johnson are going to have to step up and make big plays, but I think Gresham is going to be his go to guy. There is talk about moving Moises Madeu (spelling?) to WR but that remains to be seen. If they have some injuries at WR they could be in trouble, that is why I think Gresham is they guy to watch. They have a couple of other freshman, whose names escape me, that could get some playing time and have a chance to prove themselves. There is always that potential for one of them to surprise everybody. Should be a good year, I can't wait.

  10. you made a good point about the defenses making a game-plan against his weaknesses, but his coaches will work on his weak points and if the passing game is not working they will emphasize on the running game since the sooners do have an abundance of running backs or they could use their tight ends a little more. I'm a little more concerned about the LB's and DB's if they pan out and the team stays injury free a National Championship is not out of the question. but no more trips to Phoenix for a while

  11. HEAR YE, HEAR YE . . . ALL YOU SOONER HATERS

BETTER BUCKLE UP CAUSE YOU ARE ABOUT TO GET WRECKED!!!

OU is PACKED with talent this year. PACKED. It's going to be so fun to watch. I don't see a loss on the schedule. Texas has the best chance, I don't see the Hunger from Brown. Stoops is thru losing big games. mark my words, if he wins it all he's gone. that's what he wants.
