OKay, so who play dominoes?

I have a set of dominoes and I've been trying to introduce my 5 yr old. The basic set says to play your 5 tiles until no one can play anymore and then the winner gets the points that are left in the opponent's hand. Fine. When I was growing up we played that you got a point for every 5 points the ends added up to...on a cribbage type board, and then 5 points for what was left, rounded up or down to the nearest 5. So I was trying to incorporate that game into the set that we have and I realized that almost half the tiles are duplicates.

Is a standard set only 27 tiles or are you supposed to play with all sorts of duplicate tiles?

ok i play and you need some duplicates but if you have to many it will take the fun outta the game. What kinds set was it that you have because if its a real cheap set then theres ur problem. hop i helped you and have fun.
