the bottle probably tells you something like, "take no more than x amount of pills in x amount of hours."  anything more than that is dangerous.  i'd say yes, that's an overdose according to most medication directions.

if the pills are Tylenol or Advil that that is a major overdose and if she took them all at once there are high chances of many problems that will occur, and depending on the age (if your friend is under the age of 18) it may even be fatal. CONTACT A DOCTOR IMMEDIATELY!
