OL coach Remi Garde predicts Real Madrid will go far in the Champions League
Olympique Lyon coach, Remi Garde stated that his team were defeated by a better side. The French manager continued his discourse about the match and commented that Real Madrid will go a long way in UEFA Champions League.

Following the match, Remi Garde praised his opposition number and his squad. The former Arsenal man stated that Real Madrid were the better team, and he had predicted such a result before the match.
“Madrid punished us tonight,” lamented the 45-year-old, according to Uefa.com. “It was a difficult game.”
“I had feared the game could go this way, with Madrid dominating possession and forcing us to defend. We found it difficult to get hold of the ball and physically we were a bit off the pace.”
This was the first real opposition the French title contenders have faced in the campaign thus far, and bemoaned the late withdrawals that his team faced hindered their preparations for the match.
“We have not played against a side as strong as them in a long time. We knew that they would be strong and full of confidence and we had some late withdrawals which did not help our preparations.”
The French hopefuls came into the match looking for a favourable result but melted in front of the dazzling attacking display of Real Madrid.
Lyon’s strategy to hit Los Blancos on the counter failed, as Bafetimbi Gomis was ruled off-side on numerous occasions.
