OLEVIA 32 IN, OLDER LCD, DARKNESS AT TOP OF SCREEN...

THERE IS A DARKNESS AT THE TOP OF THE SCREEN AND IT APPEARS TO BE SEEPING DOWN IN FINGERS OF DARKNESS. SOME PARTS ARE LIGHTER THAN OTHERS. But, you get the feeling that a vampire movie is on. This darkness does not move, it is always visible. Is my television dying a natural death or is something repairable causing this?
