OLTL why so down on todd?

every where ppl are always so down on him.

but why?

Todd has done bad stuff. but he does it alll for a reason.

why do people hate him so much

you know I really was allowing him to redeem his self back at the beginning of the summer...but then he blew me our of the water after all the stuff ended with getting little Sam back...he went south after that...he had it made...and boom..he started stalking and hurting the kids on the show

Todd doesn't care about anybody but himself.  He says he loves his children, but treats them like possessions.  He's lying to Marty and playing on her sympathy not to mention not telling her about Cole.  He should get help for Jessica now that he knows she's Tess.  But there's nothing in it for him, so he doesn't.  It's all about him.  He's a monster.

Because a lot of the stuff he does is not nice and the reason he does the things for are irrational. He flips out too easily and refuses to see what is right in front of him most of the time. I dont hate Todd, I think he is a very interesting guy and he does have his good sides, they just arent shown that much. I am liking this story with Marty, he really does regret raping her and is trying to redeem that act by helping her now, but then again, he is lying to her about a lot of stuff to either protect himself or get back at Cole and John!

i know right i for one feel bad for him i know he rape marty and that's uncalled for but i believe That's the past and now he has proved to be a good father who would do anything for his kids and more, when star became pregnant they thought he was going to freak but he didn't he is the only one besides cole who wants the baby i think it's sweet that he wants his grand baby, as well out of all people to have his grandchild be with marcy,  don't get me wrong she is cool but what she did to todd was wrong all wrong,  am also seeing todd's sweet side come out to marty it's cute how he sleeps next to her n takes care of her, and we can't forget he looks out for jess as well

What's the reason he raped Marty back in college?

Why did he throw Starr down the flight of stairs?

Why did he beat up Cole, Markko and hold a knife to Langston and Markko?

Why is he feeding Marty lies now and keeping her from her son?

When I watched the show Todd was my favorite.  I didn't care what he did I still loved him.  I stopped watching when Roger Howarth left the role.

When Roger Howarth played Todd, I loved to hate him. Trevor is a fine actor, but he's just not Todd to me. It makes it even harder to like him when the writers have him doing such despicable things to his own family. I can't see them doing anything with the character to redeem him in my eyes at this point. The writers have ruined the character.
