Question:

OMG, this math problem is so awful...HELP!?!?

The square root of (x + 5) = the square root of (x - 5).

(Sorry, couldn't get the radical signs...) I tried squaring both sides, but then when you combine like terms, the x's cancel each other out. Can anyone help me figure this out? Is it just a "no solution" problem?

...Ow, my head...I've been working on math for an hour now.

  1. square both sides

    x+5 = x-5

    bring similar variables to one side and combine

    0=10

    The two do not equal each other, there is no solution

  2. there is no answer

  3. There is no solution.
