I went to a Hibachi Grill last night the place was called SHOGUN. And the food preparer lit his hand with fire on purpose and SURVIVED? He literally had his hand ON FIRE!

What he did is lit it on fire and while it was still burning asked to shake my hand and I backed away about 20 feet amazed he left it on fire for about 7 seconds! What are the dangers of this and is this okay to do at resturaunts has this happened to you before?!?

  1. At a restaurant????? I think the guy was insane and I wouldn't go back!

  2. We did this in my chemistry class this year actually. there was some chemical solution (i dont remember) that if you dipped your hand in it you could light your hand on fire. all my friends did it... i was a little to freaked out :)

  3. Magicians & stuntmen have been doing that for years. I'm not sure if the health inspector would approve, it depends on the laws in your state. I've heard of people doing it with rubbing alcohol. It's easy to do if you know what you're doing & it can be a bit shocking. It can be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing.

  4. it's not as spooky as you imagine, his hand is not literally burning if it was only lit for that short of a period, the liquid (alcohol im guessing) is what was burning off. This is not to say it is safe, once the alcohol or other substance burns away his hand would have started burning if he did not put it out in time. If you go back, reach to complete the hand shake... he will pull away himself as he wont risk passing the flaming alchol to your hand and burning you, also if you held on too long he'd burn as well lol hibachi restaurants pull some fun tricks...
