Will the world end in 2000 i heard all the machines will explode and kill evryone planes will fall out of the sky and were all gone! Will it help to stay in the basement on that day of december 31

  9. Sarah you so funny if it were 1997 you wouldn't have come on the internet cos it wasn't really used in homes then. Plus your loved ones would have told you what year it is by now.   10. i hate to break this to you but as far as i know we are in july 2008 which is just over 8 yrs and 7mths past the date you are worried about.

    go turn the tv on and check the date or something please you are not in 1997 and that was so i would be 10 and er well em am now 21 with 2 kids so it shows we have past the date a while ago sorry but i had to tell ya

  11. It might be true that the world will end in 2012. Most people say so. Scientist also. But they don't know. Bad luck for us. But I think you're mkstaking. 2000 has passed 8 years ago. Please stay up to date. Unless you like to go over a calendar over and over again.

    are you referring to the Y2K bug? early computer programs were written that would reset the date to january 1 1900 after midnight on december 31 1999.

    search Y2K bug in a search engine. many millions of dollars were spent by companies all over the world in 1998/1999 to ensure that planes did not fall out of the sky.

    You may like to lie down and put a paperbag over your head if it will help you calm down. A nice glass (or two) of Pan Galactic Gargle Baster will help make your brain get adjusted   (just like being smashed with a slice of lemon wrapped around a large gold brick).
