OMG LOOK AT THESE NEW binoculars!!!!!!!?

now that i have your attention im thinking of getting the Barska gladiators compact zoom 9-27 x 25 and i just want to know what size are they and how much do they weigh!!!!????? sorry about they completley random heading but i didnt think any1 wud answer!

Noone can hold a pair of bino over 10x steady, not even olympic shooters.  The other thing I don't like about that bino, beside them being made by Barska, is the zoom.  I have not seen one single pair of zoom bino that is good.  They all usually have rather low quality optics.  I just looked at this bino at www.opticsplanet.com.  It has a BK-7 prism, which is also of poor quality, you'd want something with a BAK-4 glass if you want nice images.  If you want to spend a bit more, you can get something like the Bushnell Legend 8x26, those are very nice bino.

I would not advise buying them. Any magnification above 10x and you will not be able to hold them steady. The image will dance about all over the place. Also as you zoom in the image will get darker and focusing becomes critical.

You would be better off buying a good pair of 8x25 or 10x30 binoculars. Porro prisms allow more light than roof prisms. Go into a shop and find the brightest pair that you can, Light is information, it gives clarity of definition. I am quite a big bloke and I can't hold them steady enough over 10x.
