  1. good

  2. More than likely your eyes are reacting unfavorably to the overwear.  Contact lenses to require an adjustment period.  Simply remove the lenses and put some preservative free artificial tears in your eyes every 2 hours or so(available at most drug/grocery stores).  If the eye is not better in a day or two see your eye doctor.  If you put the lenses back in after it clears and it recurs, see your doctor.

  3. That's normal.  Don't worry about it.  Just take them out, and give your eyes some time to rest.  Clean them with the solution.

Don't worry, you didn't damage your eyes.  I've got a friend who almost never takes his contacts out and he's fine.  He'll wear them for weeks.

  4. make teh call and tell him you DID NOT FOLLOW HIS INSTRUCTIONS!!

  5. You have most likely inflammed your eye lids.  Put a cold compress on your eyes, like a cold wash cloth. It will calm them down. Use some lubricating drops and only wear your contacts for the given amount of time tommorrow. I would call the doctor that prescribed your contacts and see what they think you should do. Do not worry, your Optometrist is a REAL Doctor and qualified to fit your contacts. Most optometrists and contact lense techs fit more contacts than MD doctors do......Really.  We have MANY of our MD Ophthalmologists here in my area that refer their Contact lense patients to our Optometrist....the REAL doctors are busy doing surgeries and do not have the time to dapple in trivial contact lense fitting.  You will be fine, just let your eyes calm down and start again tomorrow!

  6. Call your doctor,of course.

And remember: call your MD doctor, not those who think they are medical ones.

  7. just wear glasses for a wile and use eye drops if  have em and if last for more than a day then call ur doctor

  8. Okay now I'm not saying this to scare you but to make you realize just how important it is not to over wear you contact lenses. I will mention now that your eyes will be fine just give them a little break from your lenses.

Your contact lens is barrier between your eye and oxygen so if you over wear them what you're actually doing is starving your eye. This will cause blood vessels to grow towards your iris.

I read one of the previous answers about someone saying it was okay as they have a friend who wears his for weeks at a time. Well some lenses are designed for this. If not the worst case scenario i have come across is actually from an optom student. He was wearing his lenses in excess of 20 hours a day, sleeping in them and not cleaning them for weeks. He woke up one morning and the front layer of his cornea fell out. Now your eye has more nerves than anywhere else in the body, so i probably don't need to explain how painful this was and the weeks it took for him to recover.

Its a foreign body in the eye and treat it accordingly you should only be wearing it for 3-4 hours increasing it by 2 hours each day to your maximum wearage time, usually 8-12 hours.
