OMG! Parents are adopting a little 5 year old boy!?

Okay, I'm 13. I have another sibling who is 9. My parents have been thinking of adoption. I know that we had a homestudy maybe 5 months ago, but I knew how long everything takes. I never even knew my parents did anything about it. Now we are going to Colorado to see a little 5 year old boy. Does that mean we are pretty far in the adoption process or what?

if you are meeting the child then that means you are pretty much there with the adoption process.

If you are meeting with a child, then you are pretty much there.  It's the beginning of the transistion when this child could possibly move in with you.  Be very patient though as he will have an adjustment period which is called his "honeymoon period".
