Well yesterday I went to doctor for my baby to be checked on monitor & everything is great with him & doctor said I was showing small contractions but nothing spectacular yet.

Well my question is, Is that a good start & sign that I could be having him soon?

If I walk a lot today you think my contractions could come on stronger & longer?

Thanks

  1. That is definitely a good sign.  Walking could help.  Just remember that there really isn't much longer he can stay in there.  You are so close!

  2. yes that is a good sign.

yes walking should bring them on stronger or you can try s*x. My sister had s*x and about a hour after her water broke and soon after she was having strong contraction. Best of Luck

  3. no one is going to be able to answer this, walking works for some people but may not for you...and of course its a good sign...

  4. Walking is good, s*x is better as long as your water has not broke.  orgasms stimulate the uterus and promote labor.  It might be uncomfortable, but worth it!!

  5. I walked alot when I was around 39 weeks.   Not sure if it helped.  But one night I was on the way to the bathroom and my water broke.

  6. it a definite good sign try spicy food , lots of walking , warm baths , and types of teas the contractions may come sooner !!!!!

    good luck and congrats

  7. You had better be having him soon at 40+!!!

walking helps usually before you go into labor you want to clean a lot

  8. Why didn't you ask your doctor while you were there? He examined you, and there is no way we could know the answer to that question. That's what you pay him for.

    Good luck

  9. Hi There, Im not sure. I can tell you from my experience it didnt happen for me. My first son was 41 weeks 4 days...i had to be induced, i couldnt feel contractions prior but on monitors i was apparently having small contractions aswell. My twin pregnancy went to 40 weeks!!!...and again i was induced as nothing happened on own. Midwife actually explained to me that a few woman dont go into natural labour and have to be induced. Obviously it would eventually happen but no-one really wants to risk going too many weeks overdue. Hope everything happens soon and goodluck!!!

  10. That is a good sign, it shows that the birthing process is moving in the right direction.  I had light contractions for almost a week before I actually went into labor with my daughter.

Walking can help the process along because it actually stretches the muscles around the pelvic area.  Having s*x can also help, there is a chemical in s***n that helps to thin the cervix, which will speed your dilation.

Best of luck with your pregnancy, delivery and the new arrival.
