  4. Most spider problems can be solved without the use of chemicals. The first, and perhaps best, suggested controls are mechanical. Inspect door and window casings in the house for closeness of fit. Repair holes large enough to admit spiders. Other areas to inspect include entry points of water pipes and electrical lines. Caulk any cracks and other small openings.

  5. KILL IT . KILL THEM ALL. THEY HAVE TOO MANY LEGS AND THEY MUST DIE

  6. oh God help you! eww, I would have literally died! where do u live? that would help a lot with finding out what it is

  7. I've lived in California and been involved with insects and spiders all my life, and I'm not familiar with any spider that is "white" with a 3" body.  If it was in a web that makes it even harder to fit your description.  If it was on the ground, it  could "possibly" be a small Tarantula, but being white still makes it sound strange.

In reality, spiders are wonderful creatures and are fascinating  in their body form and living habits.  There are also many very beautiful spiders in the world.  Have you ever seen an Orchid Spider from Papua New Guinea.  They have more colors than a rainbow and are about the size of a small pea.  Some spiders feed on just insects, while others also can feed on mice, birds, lizards, snakes, and other small animals.

Your fear comes from lack of knowledge. Learn about spiders and you'll see that 99% of them are NOT harmful and are MOST important in helping our planet and everyone on it. If it weren't for spiders, you'd have more cockroaches, mosquitoes, flys, gnats, lice, ticks, silverfish, and termites than you could imagine. Nature WILL take care of itself if man just leaves it alone.

Next time, take a moment to really "see" the spider.  Get a magnifying glass and examine it.  I think you'll see that you have NOTHING to fear at all, and that it really doesn't want to bother you or hurt you in any way.  It actually just wants to help you by catching any harmful bugs that might be pestering you or your family.  Don't pay attention to what others tell you.  Be your own person, and grow to really appreciate the wildlife around you in ALL its forms.  All animals are wonderful, once you "really" get to know them.

  8. Ill keep looking and see what I can find....Have you seen any more of these spiders around at all? If you can take a picture of it with a camera phone...actually I was looking for the EXACT website Gary posted its extremly informative.
