  1. Firstly, antivirus programs will NOT remove these as they are malicious codecs, although they may find reference to them and remove it but upon rebooting it's back again.

Therefore you need to use a 'layered' approach to removing this parasite.

    RogueRemover:

    http://www.download.com/RogueRemover/300...

Download, install, update, scan and follow on screen prompts.

    Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:

    http://www.download.com/Malwarebytes-Ant...

Download, install, update and select Full Scan.

Remove all infections that it finds after scan.

    Spybot S&D:

    http://www.safer-networking.org/en/downl...

Download, install, update and Immunize, turn off Tea Timer then click 'Check for problems' then when complete select all and then 'Fix Checked'

Spyware Doctor Free Basic Edition - Realtime monitoring:

    http://pack.google.com/intl/en/pack_inst...

Its free with Google pack, untick all boxes except Spyware Doctor. Download install, update and run.

    SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition:

    http://www.download.com/SUPERAntiSpyware...

Download, install, check for updates, then select Scan your Computer, select your drive and select Perform Complete Scan

    VundoFix:

    http://www.symantec.com/content/en/us/gl...

Disconnect your computer from the internet

    Run vundo

    Restart your computer

Run the tool again to ensure no traces are left.

If there are the reboot into Safe Mode and run FixVundo again.

If your desktop has changed or icons are missing also use:

    Wallpaper Hijacker Removal Tool:

Note: You should hit all "Repair" buttons even though it may not say "Found!" This will fix a wallpaper hijack everytime if all repair buttons are pressed.

    A-Squared Free:

    http://www.download.com/A-squared-Free/3...

This is not a limited version but a full tool to clean your computer from Malware, Spyware, Trojans, Backdoors, Worms, Dialers and Keyloggers.

    How to use:

If the problem persists, turn OFF System Restore and scan with the above programs in Safe Mode, Right click My computer > select Properties > System Restore Tab > Tick Turn Off System restore on all drives.

After scans are complete and machine is clean remember to turn system restore back ON and create a new restore point.

Once your scans are complete and your machine is clean, uninstall some of the programs, I suggest that you keep Malwarebytes for manual scanning, Spyware Doctor for realtime monitoring and Spybot. The remainder can be removed to save drive space, but you may want to keep the installers for future use.

  2. get a adware/virus/malware program like malware bytes, install it and run it to clean pc.

  3. Is this what you need?

  4. http://www.bleepingcomputer/malware.com. Works great. I used it to remove MS Antivirus 08 off one of my computers.  Just follow the direction carefully. You have the option to buy the whole program butI just used the free one.

  5. use manual removal instructions

    http://fix-computer-problem.com/rogue-an...

  6. here you can find a manual removal instructions:

    http://www.pcthreat.com/parasitebyid-694...

  7. That spyware randomly generates a process name, I just cleaned one up that was hc0zhxoook3lm.scr.  Boot into safe mode (F8 before the windows logo screen) It installs a screen saver in c:\windows\system32 with an odd name (sort files by type) or do a search for *.scr and remember to include hidden system files or folders.  Now, dont delete it right away, copy down the name of the file first, then delete it.

now go to start, run, and type regedit

Go to this folder in the left hand side

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER->SOFTWARE->MICROSOFT... VERSION->RUN

It should list the path, and you might have to use the scroll at the bottom to see, but you're looking for a random file name like the one we just deleted but an exe and in c:\windows\system32 once you find it, delete they key (Just highlight and hit delete)

Now hit ctrl+f and put in the name we wrote down earlier from the file we deleted (without the extention) and click search.  Delete everything it finds.

    Now go into c:\documents and settings\all users\start menu\programs\startup

    Delete everything in there.

    Reboot

it SHOULD be fine after this, if its not, send me an email or IM me and I'll see what further assistance I can be.

PS, these steps work for most spyware . . . without a stupid antispyware program to slow down your computer.

Oh, and system restore is about useless.  Feel free to turn it off and keep it off.

Also from what I'm reading there is a few different types.  If you dont see any of this check the link in my sources, it has directions for other manual removal.  Again, do all this in safe mode.

  8. The best thing for this is to install Hijack to narrow down the things you need to get rid of. It may take a few times, including booting into safe mode but it will work if you follow the directions closely, promise!
