what are those crunchy short noodle shaped snacks that the chinese place gives to you with your food..they are like an orange-ish color!i need to know like now!

  1. Depending on where you go, they are what Michael said, or they are fried noodles.  Its pretty straight forward, they are just something to satisfy Americans, they are not actually authentically Chinese.

  6. The only short, crunchy, orange-ish thing I can think of is shredded carrots or bean sprouts. At least, that's what it is around here.

    Can find in any supermarket. Have ate them since 1950's in Seattle, with cream of chicken and tuna fish over top.

    Use to be a great meal before ball practice and on Fridays during lent.

  9. They are commonly known in the US as Chow Mein noodles.  They come in a bag or a can in the Asian section of your supermarket.
