OMG There's a BUG in my tank! HELP!

Question

Well, I bought some plants off line, and I added them yesterday.

But low and behold, I had a hitchhiker!

It was a small greenish bluish bug that swam pretty fast and then buried itself in my gravel

It was ovalish in shape and it had legs... I have no idea what it was or it it will harm my fish!

Anyone have any idea what this might be? I've researched aquatic insects, but came up with nothing that resembled this bug.

Dont worry the fishes know what to do and they will take care about theirself :D

i would take it out if you have any guppies in your tank cos they are back paddlers that eat yr fish!!!!!!!! just take it out and check for more

did it have a head? big eyes? antennae?

sounds like a beetle, but could also be a bug that just fell in the water, I get bugs in my water a lot, my fish just eat them.
