  1. theres lots of things, like midol, IBprophen, hot baths, out a hot corn sock where cramps are. plenty of water and rest. water and reat are the main ones. no s*x. lol. running, jogging. goodluck

  2. thats how i was.

i couldnt move i'd get sick and everything i'd miss 2 or 3 days of school every month.

but then i got on birth control=]. i have no period symptoms anymore besides actually having my period.

  3. My GYN, says to take ibuprofen for cramps and to lesson the bleeding.

  4. Hey,

I feel so sorry for you! Lots of my friends have pains so bad they take the day off of school because its too much. Try lying down in a warm bath or use a hot water bottle on the painful area. Take a painkiller or aspirin and take a nap. If nothing helps you, go to your doctor and they may prescribe the Contraceptive Pill for you to help with the pains. Its unusual, but happens. Good luck!

PS, Chocolate and bananas are known to help period pains. Try gentle exercise such as slow dancing or yoga. Hope I've helped!

  5. You could go on birth control. Thats what I did when I has awful cramps.....I didn't go to school for like to days when I would start my period. You can also take pain reliever like advil or ibprofen or even better midol (don't know how to spell it but I'm sure you get what I mean). Another great thing to do is take a hot bath or put a heating pad on your lower abdomen....this helps a lot with the pain.

  6. Oh girl, I totally feel you. I had severe cramps about two years ago, when I was in high school. They felt like my uterus was trying to kill me.

Here are my favorite ways (coming from a woman who also has a murderous uterus) to lessen those cramps...or get rid of them!

    1) Take an old sock and fill it with rice. Then microwave the rice sock for about a minute. Then, put the rice sock on your lower abdomen. The heat relaxes your uterine muscles and it feels *so* good.

    2) Chamomile tea. It's great stuff.

    3) Midol and ibuprofen. Midol is MAGIC stuff, I swear.

    4) Avoid caffeine before  and during your period. Caffeine only makes muscle cramps more painful. And try eating more bananas toward your period. Bananas are full of potassium which help lessen cramps.

    5) If all else fails, I try to take a short nap. It's hard to fall asleep because of my stupid uterus, but once I do, it doesn't hurt me anymore :) And usually I wake up feeling much better.

Good luck, lady. I know exactly how it feels.

  7. you mean like cramps??? i have the same problem. I take ibeprofine when the pains not too bad, and midol when the pain is real bad. Also, I eat lots of bananas.  they really help with cramps.

But ibeprofine works wonders for me. it jus takes a lil while to work. So take it when you first feel like you might be getting cramps.

  8. What can I do to help with my period pain?

While painful periods can be miserable, there are things you can do that can help. Painful periods can be miserable for women, but with treatment, either at home or from the doctor, they can be made more bearable.

Steps for getting rid of period pains:

-Try taking ibuprofen can help relieve the pain

-Have a warm bath instead of a shower

    -Gently massage your lower belly

-Hot drinks can sometimes help to relieve the pain

-Putting a heat pack or hot water bottle over the lower part of your abdomen can help dull the pain

-Lying in certain positions, such as curled up with the legs up to the abdomen or lying face down on the bed can be more comfortable

-Eating a balanced diet is important too.

-Medicines can also help painful periods; some are available without a prescription from a chemist, which are based on pain medicines. If regular pain relief isn’t helping, it’s best to see your GP, as there maybe an underlying problem causing your pain.

Your GP may prescribe anti-inflammatory drugs such as mefanamic acid (Ponstan) which helps with the pain. Usually, these medicines only have to be taken for a day or two before and during a period. If this doesn’t help, your GP may suggest you try the contraceptive pill. This makes your periods lighter and less painful and it will also regulate your cycle.

Some women find painful periods improve when they go on the pill; which can make periods often lighter and less painful. Contraceptive injections (Depo-provera®) are also very helpful for period pains as many girls find their periods stop while on the injection.

  9. First of all, keep track of your periods on a calendar.  Make note of cramps that you get.  If you've been having them for over a year, they should be fairly regular.

The first day of your period, take a mild pain reliever whether or not you are having cramps.  If you are at home, you can use a heating pad to help the pain.  If not, there are several things you can stick to the inside of your panties that produce heat.  I use Thermacare myself.

  10. You should tell your doctor about your pain.  You could have something call Ploy cystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS).  It will also make you have irregular periods.  If your periods a really bad you may want to get on birth control it will help you with the pain as well.

  11. I have quite a high pain tolerance (thanks to two older rough brothers) and I usually just ignore the cramps.

Sure sometimes it feels like I'm being shredded apart inside, but I just go for a walk instead of focusing on the pain. Our PE teacher at school said that exercising the muscles relieves tension, and trust me it does. Also, take some painkillers. That's what I do if it gets too painful or if I'm going out or something and I'm fine half an hour after for hours.

Also, I've never missed a day of school for my period. It's just something I learn to live with and I find being with my friends helps take my mind off the pain.

  12. wHEN I GET MY PERIOD I HAVE CRAPS THAT I START CRYING AND I LIKE FEEL LIKE SOME ONE IS STABBING ME!!!! so i take Tylenol and i eat bananas and every now and than my mom lets me stay home from school.
