  1. Sounds like sensationalism to me...

  2. not true.

wow that is some crazy article.

if you're g*y you're g*y...it has nothing to do with what you eat. I know plenty of g*y people that eat meat. and plenty of straight people that don't...I'm one of them.

  3. NO it's most definitely not true!!!

    1. This article (and website) is not exactly a reliable source.

    2. The title "soy is making kids g*y" is as misleading as the article. They imply that "feminising" males makes them attracted to the opposite s*x. Firstly, not all g*y men are "feminine". Secondly, it is preposterous to propose that what foods one eats determines ones sexual orientation!!!

    3. Most importantly... the myths about soy are largely unfounded. And even if they are true than the benefits would still outweigh the cons. Try mentioning the estrogen levels in cows milk to anyone ranting about the "dangers" of soy milk and you will find them lost for an answer.

I suggest you take a look at the following two articles if you are still concerned:

    http://www.foodrevolution.org/what_about...

    http://www.medkb.com/Uwe/ForumPost.aspx?...

    Hope this helps :)

  4. He said he was a health food freak, not a scientist.

  5. Dont believe

    that article "s u c k s"

  6. There is truth to it, but that does not make it true. A diet high in soy will lead to an increase in estrogen in males. It is doubtful that will make you g*y, more likely you would just grow a miniscule lump as a boob or something if you consume it ALL the time (and I mean ALL the time, like every meal and every snack). Homosexuality is more a product of nature than nurture. Could there be a correlation between soy and gayness? possibly. But that doesn't mean soy makes you g*y.

  7. World Net Daily is not a reliable source of information.

  8. Well the site is bogus, but there is a kernel of truth in it.

Soy does contain phytoestroegens and it has been known to affect fertility in women and cause period loss.  I myself avoid soy products for this reason and the fact that most are produced by evil corporate food giants like Monsanto.

In Asia, soy is a minor food ingredient in the form of tofu just as meat is.  They eat much more rice and vegetables and ad soy to make food more interesting.

On the flip side, there has been a lot of speculation that eating some meat also has hormones in it, in part depending on how much stress the animal was under while it was slaughtered.

  9. no its not true

  10. um no!

  11. thats soooo not true!

  12. Soy doesn't make you bad literally.There aren't any defects,,,but on the contrary,that article seems...sheer brainless.

  13. That's silly. Is the incidence of homosexuality higher in Asian countries that consume more tofu than in America? "Real Men Don't Eat Quiche"? Like all those Frenchmen?

I think Jim Rutz is dumb--"always deviant."

You are what you are, tofu and vegetarianism be damned.

  14. that article is very misleading and shouldn't be taken seriously.  it's true that soy can increase estrogen levels and that it's probably over-used by some people, especially vegetarians, because its an easy to use and readily available protein.  but remember that most chicken and some other animal foods, also easy and readily available proteins, are artificially pumped full of estrogens and other chemicals, too!  as vegetarians, we do occasionally use soy products, but because they are so overly processed i try not to use them too often.  if you stick to a natural vegetarian diet with little or no processed food you will greatly benefit your health.  protein sources such as quinoa, beans, lentils, seitan, nuts, seeds, etc. are so much better for you, and very easy to use.

  15. g*y.

  16. people have been eating tofu and soy for a hundreds of years, if it made people g*y we would have died out by now

  17. No and Yes.  No soy does not make anyone g*y.  Yes soy is highly estrogenic and goitrogenic.  It works against the thyroid suppressing it's natural function.  Unopposed estrogen in men or women is dangerous as it can lead to various forms of cancer eventually.  Excess estrogen also increases weight and fat deposits which then in turn produce even more estrogen so this becomes a vicious circle.

    Edit:

The other problem with soy in the US is that it is genetically engineered and not the real deal.  This in itself is showing to be a large part of the problem.  Read the articles, investigate the evidence, don't just make knee jerk reactions based on others undocumented "evidence".  Educate yourself, genuinely.

Actually, Cow's milk is probably WORSE:  http://libaware.economads.com/milkletter...

We reccommend rice milk, hemp milk, almond milk or goats milk
