Ok, this question is really stupid, I know, but I've always been wondering...

Do animals have their own language? O_o

I mean, like humans have their own language? Whooosshh. Don't judge me, lol. :)

It's acctually a question. =D

  1. yes and no. we speak a language that consists of words. animals do not.  we speck a language of tone, body language, expression and feeling. Animals also do this, this being their form of communication.


  2. thats not dumb! Well they communicate with each other some way, it may not be audible to us, but i think every species has a way to communicate. Like they record sounds whales and dolphins make to one another...seems like they are talking, definitely communicating somehow. not sure we can know though! I think science is still trying to figure it all out!

  3. Animals talk through emotion, body language, and the chemicals that emotions and sensations give off.

  4. yes they do..each sound they make means something from "get out of my way" to "im hungry"

  5. I'm not sure about a language, but they have their own way of communicating with each other, and they all have their own voices so the other ones can recognize them. They sound the same to us, but to each other it's very different.

  7. They communicate more through body language. But it is suggested that wolves may have a type of oral communicated,as do whales and dolphins.

    Are they able to communicate with each other vocally? Yes. Birdsong for example.

  9. I think dolphins and elephants communicate with their minds. Whales have the deepest voices and cats only use meow with humans.

  10. Yup im pretty certain the have different noices for different things, they can certainly communicate through the noises they make like meows for a cat. However they do communicate through body language alot as well.

    Do animals communicate through predictable patterns?  Sure.  Dogs wag tails, cats rub against your legs to say hello.

    Do certain sounds have predictable affects?

    Seems like it.  One chicken gets excited and a bunch come runnng to get on in the snack.

    Animals definately communicate.
