  1. When a rabbit thumps, it means that he is claiming his territory. Its nothing to worry about. My rabbits do it all the time. hes fine. Just pick himup, hold him, and calm him down.

  2. Yeah, the bunny was scared. He might've heard something that alarmed him, or smelled something. When you have him out, make sure that he has access to a safe spot, like his cage or a nice cardboard box shelter. They like to have somewhere to hide if they sense danger.

  3. I agree with ashley5n. She is right. The rabbit probably smelled a dog near. Maybe the rabbit smelled a snake. I dunno. Check your yard for anything frightening for a rabbit. Also, give him somewhere to hide in or run too where he will be safe and feel safe.

  4. He probably smelled something that scared him..It's true; they thump to sound the alarm!  just put him someplace quiet and where he feels safe so he can calm down.  Rabbits have an excellent sense of smell, so he may have caught a whiff of the neighbor's dog or something :)

  5. thats normal, hes fine, hes doing that to show hes happy, or hes scared, but hes fine ;)

  6. Rabbits do that when they feel good too.   He's just happy to be out of his cage for a bit.  He's fine.
