Bush has little if anything to do with the price  of  oil. Oil companies have little if anything to do with the price of oil. Oil is traded on a global market. We determine the price of oil. The more we use. The less there is. the higher the price.

It's all about supply and demand. Demand is HIGH. Supply is low.

The demand for oil goes up 2% to 5% a year here in the U.S. It never goes down. In 2003 it was 4.3%. In China it went up 30% that year. India is not far behind.

Gas price in Australia is about $1.49 a litre.

wait do they have different measurements in America?

In 2000/01 gas price was around $0.90 to $1.05

I don't think it has much to do with government but more the middle east and gas producers.

Fossil Fuel burning and stuff would have to have something to do with it as well. As it is getting rarer.

The gas prices by state can widely vary depending on that state's emission standards, some states such as California have very tight emission standards and as a result California gas prices are much higher than the national average.

Mostly because OPEC which are the oil producing countries are raising the price of oil and since demand is picking up as summer approaches the cost of gas will continue to go up.   Bush can reduce it by releasing the oil reserves in the US but doubtful he will do that.  Congress can also reduce it by lowering or removing the gas tax but that is also unlikely.

The current administration's energy policies are very helpful to oil companies.

The fear of oil becoming unavailable from the middle east is exaserbated by the war in Iraq (which IS Bush's fault).

you people are so stupid. the government in our country has little to do with it. but our local government has wasted alot of money to make other fuels. and all the come up with is a ethanol witch is junk.

there are a few main reason why fuel is so high.

1. the dollar has went down. so it takes more money to pay other countries then it ones did.

2. india and china are using way more then they use it and has put a strain on the supply.

3. allso the oil companies are playing there cards right so they never make to much. why should they bust there a.s.s to save you money. they work less and make more for the company or work more and make less. go figure,.

4. then there is hostility in other countries,. like oil lines getting blown up, storage areas gettin distroyed.

making cost go up.

5. the latest problem theres a strike in a major UK refinery.

the list goes on and on.

SUV's don't make the cost go up.

bush has little effect on cost.

iraq is a problem. witch should have been takin care of when we has there in dessert storm.  but thats our government. makes 5 mistakes for everyone they do right.

Nothing to do with Bush the main reason why Gas prices are heigh is because the US dollar is weak compared to the EURO and AUD and YEN. and many other.

The USD is weak main reason is because the reserve bank lowered the interest rate.

The gas is in the stock market, and that you can see that it is almost 115 USD per barrle.

blame people who buy stock to stop investing in it and it will go down...

Oil companies have no restrictions placed on them.  There isn't even an oil shortage.  Plus, Mr. Bush is making Sh*t loads of cash, so he won't do anything to help our country.

I agree with hotrodd bush isnt that bad or doing a bad job one reason he left out though is because oil is traded on the stock market and when they get a little nervous about something the price of a barrel of crude oil goes up then it comes down again and it might settle at a certain point until something else happens then  it goes up again take it off the stock market and it would probably come down a whole lot

Yes. A lot of our problem are due to Bush trying to make ethenol. It takes oil to make it, that's why gas is so expensive. It also takes corn to make it, that's why food is so expensive.
