then it says Standard Flat Rate Shipping Service. Does that mean that it's going to cost to ship it to me????????????? It doesn't say how much! Or does that mean that they are going to ship it to me for free?

  1. Sometimes if it's a domestic transaction the seller might offer free postage if the item is very small or light - or they might not charge for postage if they have the option of you collecting the item from them in person.

But normally, you pay the standard shipping rate which the seller quotes.    I don't think I've ever bought anything on Ebay where I wasn't charged for postage. If you contact the seller & ask them to specify the exact cost of post and packaging I'm sure they would be happy to help, they're normally very nice : )

  2. what you bidded for that is the total price wich includes the p&p  so you only pay what the amout said,,

  3. Technically, "shipping cost" can include things other than postage and handling.  They can sell you a $50 for $5, but charge you $75 for the box needed to send it to you.  (A lot of sellers on eBay play that trick - a very cheap price and an outrageous shipping charge.)

Legally it's called "word of art", and what they say means what they mean it to say, not what you think they mean.
