ON simes 2 castaway how to you get the stuff to carve the canoe or boat thing?

im playing that game but I have not made the canoe and I need the things to make it so I can go to the other island plz help im so confused!

You have to find your supplies.  I haven't played in awhile so I can't remember exactly what's needed, but you have to gather wood, vines, rocks, possibly make rope or twine (after you build a workbench) and tools.  It takes a long time gathering before you can leave the first island.
