ONKYO HT-SR700

Question

I recently set up my system to my Toshiba HD player using the optical cable for audio. Currently it is generating a pulsing humming noise and a crackling noise while in the suround modes with the optical hook up. What could be my problem. I tried hooking up the analog cables and it illiminated the noise if I kept it in stereo mode but quickly comes back when in any of the suround modes as well.
I would like to let you know that the back right surround speaker wire is running next to a transmitting cellular device for the home security system. Could this one wire be the problem?
I have read nothing but good reviews on this system and recently recieved it as a gift. It was ordered online and I really do not want to send it back if this problem can be resolved.
