ONLINE CHESS FANS: Any knowledge of other players having seizures during play? (Cause may be the blinky ads)?

My best friend has had four seizures -- ALL while playing online chess. He has no prior history of seizures. I notice that one cannot turn off the blinky ads during play (this may have some effect on the brain's electricity according to some). These games are a compulsion or addiction to many online fans, because despite these incidents, he has not given up the game (I know -- how utterly foolish). And his two doctors, including a neurologist, have not recommended that he stop. Appreciate any first-hand feedback. Maybe we can encourage changes re those blinky ads that you cannot turn off. They are most likely a health hazard.

This don't make sense ! Are the two Doctors opponents of his (& probably always beating him) online ? - cos that would explain their lack of concern !
