Do you know this person? If so, send a pix saying "show me some love". If you don't know the person, find a funny pix and a neutral saying and post it as a comment. Or even find a pix saying "wanting to get to know you more" or something like that. What I do is google "myspace icon show some love" or whatever pix you are looking for. Its fun and I end up saving in my favorites a bunch of other pix for other friends' comments.

Depends on what your comment was.  Was it detailed, or generic?

Did you know this person you added?  If not, they're being courteous.  They'll never leave another message unless you leave them another one.  If you only leave graphics like "happy friday!" don't hold your breath for a response.  People on myspace like to read actual comments, and not "just checkin in to say hi."  They want a real connection!!  Well, I do anyway.  I don't care about the number of friends.  It's just more people to leave you spammed comments and garbage in your inbox.

If you do know the person, but see them everybody, I wouldn't expect too many comments from them.  If you want to get to know somebody you kinda already know, then write them back with whatever you want to say.
