If I were to make enormous expenses claims , I would be up in front of the beaks at double quick time. Are politicians a law unto themselves whilst running the country?

Imagine if you claimed for your mortgage or rent , you would be laughed out of the office and into the street!!

  1. It's a case of do as I say, not do as I do with politicians. They seem to forget that it was us that put them into office and us that can refuse to re-elect them.

They are all a bunch of liars and con-men in my book.

  2. It looks that way.

  3. The ones we hear about are only the tip of the ice berg. All parties in all sections of the house are complacent with a multitude if fiddles.

It is only when one is so blatant, or highlighted by the opposition that we hear about it.

Then the party leaders will make a statement saying that their plans are to be fully transparent, yet their plans are only deep enough to quell public interest.

Time we had a warts and all look at the amount being poured into the halls of westminser.

The true scale of the fiddles is unfathomable

  4. I second the Hooded Claw. What surprised me was learning that they can claim up to £250pw without declaring what for.

  5. Agreed !

  6. It is a great pity that some of these tossers are not in China.

Guilty. = Dead 10 minutes later.

  7. They've all got their fingers in the pie, every one of them - and it seems they just have to say 'oh, I ran up £4,250 on taxis' and someone says 'OK fair enough' and pays up.  They're taking the pi$$ big time.

  8. You got a bloody good point.

  9. just another mp. (crooked) who will plead innocence ."i did nothing wrong mr brown please save me from these bad people "i am overworked and under valued..OH WELL we are getting a big rise shortly that will give the public something else to complain about ,that will take the heat of me .i am a lovely honest man trust me i am an MP.         "Another one who will get away with it"

  10. those load of gangsters need locking up.

  11. They make the laws, and surprise, surprise they have a special clauses just for them. Travel, housing, pensions. That's why it cost the rest of us so much, because they are insulated from the high cost of living they cause. The only way i found to protest is to abstain from voting, they don't like low turn out.

  12. Almost certainly. Just proves that there is no honour remaining in public life. And they wonder why the country has gone to the dogs? (And chav's, etc.)

  13. I seem to remember, it was the Speaker, who was not happy

a few months ago , about the obligatory disclosure by

MP's, of registering their  financial interests.

    Now we know Why  ?

If Oliver Cromwell re-emerged, definitely Parliament would

have been dissolved by now.! Corrupt Individuals milking

a System,  rules made by themselves.

    Fiddlers,Crooks & Coronets,using their Positions for

    Profit.
