ORTHO TRI CYCLEN Lo???

Question

Starting the pill tomorrow. How do the colors work? Im getting different answers!!?? (I got my period on 7/5, and should get it 8/2 if it doesnt get messed up)

You are supposed to start your birth control the 1st Sunday after you're period.  

I took OrthoTriCyclen for years and just follow the circle around, regardless of color.  The change in colors are the change dosage each pill contains and they are calculated to compliment your bodies natural cycle!  Finally the little circle with the green pills are sugar placebos and technically don't need to be taken.  They do, however, serve as a great reminder to be taking your pill everyday at the same time!  These sugar pills are present and taken the week you have your cycle!

Remember: don't forget to take them every day! They are only 99% effective when taken daily around the same time!

Your period will adjust with the pill. I am on ortho tri cyclen lo too. you just start on sunday with the white pills, then just follow there to the blues then to the greens. when you hit the greens, you should be starting your period. i would try waiting to start the pill until after your period.....the sunday after, that way you can start fresh without messing up your cycle too bad. good luck!!
