OSU ranked #2 at the start of the game and now it #3?

Why did OSU ranking go from #2 to #3 during the game today?

They didn't - it's just the poll you're looking at.  They were rated #2 in one poll, and USC was #2 in another.  Doesn't matter one bit until the two of them meet in two weeks.  That will tell us a lot.

The only poll that matters is the BCS, and that does not start until week 7 or 8 of the season.  In the mean time, as others have stated, there are two polls out and it depends on which poll that broadcast is using.

Oh, I like all the USC fans predicting a bashing of Ohio State.  We'll just see in a few weeks.

They didn't. There are two different polls. The AP Poll and the USA Today/ESPN Poll. They are just ranked different in the different polls.
