This is what happened, I just took a pizza out of the over, I had put it inside a old style skillet where even the handle is iron. I had picked it up the first time with a towel and sat it on the counter, I went the living to talk to my aunt about something real quick. After I took a plastic sparta to lift the pizza out, a part of it got stuck, like a fool, I forgot to grab the towel and just placed my whole hand on the hot iron handle, I started screaming like a fool and my aunt was laughing at me. But anyways, what can use to make it stop hurting so bad? Its my left hand, top side middle finger. Its painful when I type

  1. toothpaste will help with the burn!

  2. put it under cold water!

  3. put your hand in warm water. cold water will only drive the burn deeper.Try it, it work for me.

  4. Eat it...just eat it.

  5. Run cool (not cold) water over your finger for at least 10 minutes. If it still hurts badly after 10 minutes, continue running water over it until the pain subsides. Then pat it dry-- don't rub it.

Do not apply ice, butter, or anything greasy to the burn.

You can take some Advil/Tylenol if you wish. Follow dosage instructions on the package.

If the burn blisters, do not break the blisters, and lightly bandage it with nonstick gauze.

If the blisters break on their own, leave the skin attached, apply an antibacterial cream, and bandage with nonstick gauze.

If the burn becomes infected, go to the doctor. Signs of infection include more redness and swelling than is normal, heat, red lines extending away from the wound, pus, and a foul odor.
