I stubbed my big toe yesterday and ripped off half of the nail vertically, all way back to the cuticle. Today, it is seeping a yellowish/clear liquid but does not look like infection and is extremely sore.

What should I do with it? Should I cover it or not? Anything helpful would be really appreciated. Thanks!

  1. I have done that before i let it air out for a day then i put a&d on it and put bandaids on it

good luck hope it gets better

  2. It's probobly plasma, part of the body's blood. I'd reccomend puting some A&D ointment and keeping it wrapped up atleast for a while.

  3. Keep it cleaned and don;t cover it because it needs to be aired out and all that stuff needs to come out.

  4. Keep it clean and after today start putting band-aids on it to keep it protected. If it starts to look infected obviously go to the doctor.
