said

"Requires 360 days total boating experience.

90 of those days must be in the last 3 years."

can some one explain that to me in greater deitel?

For licensing purposes, a "Day" means any 4 hours or greater within 24 hours. So a 4 hour day trip is a "day" but 3 days at sea is 3 days. Interestingly, to qualify as a day 'beyond the boundary,' you simply have to pass beyond the boundary at any time during the trip and it counts (even if you simply circle one of the boundary bouys). The boundary, btw, is not listed on charts - it's not the international boundary, or the colregs demarcation line.
