Oak Park notches Girl’s 200 yard medley relay title in Winnetka: High School State Championships
The 2011 High School State Championship was organised in Winnetka, Illinois, from November 18-19. The session of the meet conducted Girl’s 200 yard medley relay.
The squad of Oak Park of Fenwick including Maggie Sheean, Haley Wickham, Mimi Schneider and Maureen Barron went on to win the gold medal in the 200 yard medley relay meet by banging the finishing divider in a scintillating mark of 1 minute and 43.39 seconds.
Meanwhile, Winnetka’s quarter of New Trier involving Jessica Sutherland, Riley Hayward, Samantha James and Taylor Patterson earned second place honours in the respective race by thumping the finishing barrier in a time of 1 minute and 43.88 seconds. In addition,
Glenview of Glenbrook South consisting of Olivia Smoliga, Hallie Hengels, Kimmy Durkin and Katie Wells settled at third spot by touching the finishing barrier in a mark of 1 minute and 43.94 seconds.
Moreover, the team of Aurora incorporating Kate Canfield, Molly Coonce, Sarah Sykstus and Katherine Hare was placed at fourth place in a time of 1 minute and 44.84 seconds. Additionally, the group of four athletes of Wilmette involving Madeleine Jardeleza,
Michelle Garland, Maria Jardeleza and Evan Swenson settled at fifth place in a blot of 1 minute and 45.22 seconds.
In the meantime, Naperville of Neuqua Valley produced a versatile splash in the respective race and settled at sixth place in a spot of 1 minute and 45.81 seconds. Then, Hinsdale of Central claimed seventh position in the respective swim by thrashing the
finishing fence in a time of 1 minute and 47.27 seconds and Naperville of North settled at eighth spot by clicking the finishing fence in a mark of 1 minute and 47.88 seconds, respectively.
Furthermore, St. Charles of North got ninth position by claiming the finishing barrier in a time of 1 minute and 48.29 seconds, while Deerfield settled at tenth place in a spot of 1 minute and 48.67 seconds. Besides, Oswego was placed at eleventh spot in
a time of 1 minute and 48.93 seconds. Last, but not the least, the twelfth position went to Mundelein High School in a time of 1 minute and 50.00 seconds.
