Oakland Athletics’ first baseman Daric Barton still awaits roster decision – MLB News
The Oakland Athletics’ first baseman Daric Barton is not confirmed to be selected in 2012 starting roster. His left shoulder surgery has not healed fully and still making some difficulties for the A’s management to take decision on his official entrance
into the roster.
Barton recently missed the whole Japan trip with the A’s senior team due to same surgery after affects and somewhat linked regarding little hype to his next season’s starting position.
However, the A’s manager Bob Melvin, who has completed another great foreign tour with the team, knows what he requires at the moment to show a deserted performance in the next big competition.
Melvin on the other hand also, optimistic on Barton’s performance and not showing any extra worries instead making clear that he will be coming back soon and play for his team. Melvin also added that he is recovering fast and if not on Opening Day, he is
likely to make his potential comeback after one to two weeks into the regular season.
He explained in the media in detail and said, “It's definitely getting better, but I still need to play a few games in a row to determine whether I feel comfortable being out there, If it's not now, it's just a matter of time before I'm ready to play. We're
on the last leg of it. But I don't want to come back until I feel healthy enough to play a full season. That's going to tell a lot, we'll make a decision after Wednesday, We just have to get to a point where I'm comfortable playing three or four days in a
row and not have to limit.”
According to Melvin’s late comments in the media, this is quite sure now that A’s top management still wanting Barton’s services as they publically has not dismissed his unavailability in the next Major League Baseball season.
In the meanwhile, this is also certain that in the coming season, the A’s management will see in detail into every aspect of productive output and f things remained positive regarding every angle, the results will follow into the right direction.
