Oakland Athletics’ infielder Cliff Pennington looks confident in Cactus League – MLB News
The Oakland Athletics’ talented and experienced long time infielder Cliff Pennington is hitting with great energy in 2012 Major League Baseball Spring Training in Arizona’s Cactus League and receiving enormous appreciation from many baseball experts as well as from several seniors members of management.
"I do like the dynamic of the three," team manager Bob Melvin said with absolute self-belief on Penny regarding his recent performances. —'Penny' does not like the dynamic of the three. He works really hard to try to hit farther up in the line-up."
This is a fact that the way Penny is playing in this year’s Spring Training sessions, is only happening due to the given confidence of A’s batting coaches, officials and managers. He was not up-to the mark performer last year, but not only the management gave Penny enough confidence to display his skills with more energy this year, but they also tried to convince how much responsibility he should be feeling in the club’s interest.
His recent performances against the Chicago Cubs and Los Angeles Angels were also crucial when he performed tremendously and won both games for the team hitting extensively accurate.
"I think everybody would want to hit 1, 2, 3 or 4, depending on what kind of player you are," A’s star performer Penny said with confidence. "Melvin is going to put together the line-up he thinks is going to be best for the team."
This is a good and very healthy sign for the A’s franchise in the long run that has picked his form early in the Spring Training. His performances and hitting abilities have also grown to perfection which certainly a positive factor for the Oakland’s baseball franchise.
Conversely, the current Spring Training programme has still many games left to play while this will also give Penny and his other teammates more time to practice in a full groomed environment. On the other hand, the way now Pennington and other teammates of his are performing, the A’s now posses a rather fair chance to become more dynamic to play against every opponent with more thrust in the next big event in the League.
