Oakland Athletics’ pitching coach confirms Dallas Braden’s non availability for Japan trip
The Oakland Athletics’ pitching coach Curt Young has reiterated in the media regarding his pitcher Dallas Braden’s non availability for Japan trip due to shoulder capsule surgery. Braden still has not recovered fully from his shoulder capsule surgery and feeling awkwardly uncomfortable while throwing.
The A’s are scheduled to go to Japan this year which has now become an annual affair since Oakland started to play there once in a every year. Braden who has visited Japan in the recent past with the A’s, lately commented in the media with quite brief and explained about his feelings and some other matters related to his injury along with foreign trip’s jubilation.
Braden said, "I'm fortunate enough to have been to Tokyo before, and what I need to do is get myself ready to pitch without any potential conflicts in my workout schedule. It would behoove me to stay here. What I've been feeling before and after these sessions is no pain and no discomfort.”
Dallas added, “I want to make sure that doesn't go away. I'd hate to do too much and set myself back. I only missed six spots - but I don't want to miss six spots. They continue to drill into me that that's the last thing I should worry about.”
Braden is playing in the Athletics roster since 2007 and now possesses the confidence of the management as well. His game has improved from no-where to utter perfection. Since his arrival in the team, he has also never showed any loop holes in his game. Though the start of his career was little difficult where he had to confirm his place in the team first, but as he showed the actual glimpses of extraordinary pitching, the team not only took him seriously, but they also extended his contract for boosting his morale.
He is currently playing and practicing in Arizona in 2012 Major League Baseball Spring Training. Though he will play in the upcoming season, but the A’s management is not taking any chances to ruin his career just for one trip. They have taken a good decision of giving Braden an advice to stay in the county assuring his potential comeback as fully healed.
