Oakland Athletics starting pitcher Jarrod Parker gets first Major League victory – MLB News
At the moment, the Oakland Athletics’ starting pitcher Jarrod Parker is not missing his former franchise Arizona Diamondbacks, instead giving his top game to South Oakland baseball franchise and recently won a game for them and for his own game as well.
This victory against Boston Red Sox was his first Major League win as a starter for any team. The A’s top management gave him enormous amount of confidence as he entered into 2012 Major League Baseball season while now they are getting what they injected earlier.
The game against the Boston Red Sox was his best so far. Since he has started this fresh season, he was not feeling well adjusting to the current pitchers who have established their game in A’s roster for several years now. However, as soon as Parker got the chance to start, he led his team to an eventful 5-3 win.
"I don't think it'll settle in until (Wednesday), or when I'm getting phone calls tonight," Parker said after the game.
This was also the first win of A’s after losing three games in a row since Saturday, April 28 from Baltimore Orioles.
Parker total pitched just over six innings and received four-hits giving his team a balanced deserted stretch early in the game. "We may have to cut (the ball) in half, Something we did that was good was move in and out and change the eye level (of the hitters)," Parker said.
Later, the A’s manager Bob Melvin also said in the media for his new pitcher and for his team’s overall performance.
"Those types of things happen," Melvin said with confidence. "We'll work through it. Nothing's changed. I just h ad to go get him tonight. The offensive struggles can be frustrating and play into the defense some," Melvin said. " ... That's just human nature. It's not OK, but it's human nature."
The A’s new starting pitcher Jarrod Parker is currently playing with 1.38 ERA along with 1-0 win loss record, nine strikeouts and 1.08 WHIP while his career ERA of 0.96 along with 1-0 win loss, 10 strikeouts and 1.02 WHIP also suggests his good future in the Major League.
