Oakland Raiders Defense Question

Question

With the additions of Gibril Wilson and Deangelo Hall to add strength and speed to the secondary, and the fact that they already have a solid run defense, could they be worth picking up in fantasy as a backup DEF (I have Baltimore) ?

Um you might wanna get your facts straight.

They are terrible against the run. At least they were last year. They have worked on strengthening their d-line this offseason but it remains to be seen how much they have improved.

They were ranked 7th against the pass before Hall and Wilson arrived however.

They have great young, athletic linebackers in Morrison and Thomas and Asomugha and Hall are probably the best CB tandam in the league.

They are definitely worth picking up as a backup defense

Baltimore doesn't have their bye week until week 10. No sense in having another Defense taking up bench space for 10 weeks. Baltimore will be solid for you, so wait until the bye week to pick up a Defense while Ravens ride the pine. By week 10, their might be a diamond in the rough for you to pick up if not just a steady place holder.
