  1. Well, you technically can get both. Polarized lenses are a laminate that has a filter in them that cuts bouncing glare that comes form other surfaces. Iridium is a coating that goes on anky kind of lense be it polarized or not that enhances your vision on bright days by cutting certain light waves and enhancing others, so you can get a regular sun lense with the iridium, or get a polarized one with it, it depends on what you are looking at. Polarization is a proven glare cutting fact, iridium is subjective and some people love it and some don't. oakley makes all three ways, iridium, polarized and polarized iridium.  Your best bet it to take them both outside the store on a bright day and try them out for yourself and get the one that works best for you. Ask the sales people to go out with you. If they won't let you, buy them someplace that will. It is a lot of money, you should be able to spend it wisely.
